| Gondosuli Temple History |
The ruins of this temple is located in the village of Gondosuli, District Fur, City Temanggung Central Java, Indonesia , not far from the inscription Gondosuli.
History:
Archaeologists from Australia, Prof. Dr. JG Casparis, suspect Gondosuli temple was built in the 9th century. Casparis also estimate the shape of the building of this temple not far from the temple which was built in the century and are around. The temples are meant Casparis include dozens of temples in Dieng, Gedongsongo temple, Temple Pringapus in Waterford. Gondosuli temple, Hindu berasitektur, probably built in Rakai Patapan. He is a son of Sanjaya, the first king of the Hindu Mataram.
conditions:
Not yet known how widespread the temple, because the shape is no longer intact. The stones are scattered it is estimated that only the top of the temple, while most of the buildings of the temple buried in the ground.
